- CALL THE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE HOTLINE. The advocates are there to offer advice and support. They are available 24 hours a day 365 days a week PLEASE CALL they are there to help
Talk to someone you trust.
- Confide in a friend or family member about the abuse. Most of the time your family and friends are already aware or suspicious of the abuse but are reluctant to say anything.
- CALL THE POLICE. Try to keep a cell phone charged and in an accessible place. Having documentation of the abuse will help when obtaining restraining orders.
